March 25, 2025•Campari Group has appointed Andrea Sengara as managing director, House of Tequila and Mexican Spirits. Sengara previously served as Campari’s head of marketing in the U.S. Under the company’s restructure to a house of brands model, she’ll now lead Campari’s Tequila business, including Espolòn, which grew 15% to just under 1.6 million cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank. Other Mexican spirits in the Campari portfolio include Ancho Reyes liqueur and Montelobos mezcal. Prior to joining Campari in 2020, Sengara held marketing roles with Moët Hennessy and Diageo.
•Southern Glazer’s has promoted Patrick Cassidy to regional president, East Region, responsible for leading the business in the Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, and South Carolina markets. Marty Crane, executive vice president, subregional general manager, New York & Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company of Massachusetts & Rhode Island, will report directly to Cassidy, who in turn reports to John Wittig, chief commercial officer. Cassidy has been with Southern Glazer’s for 28 years, most recently serving as executive vice president, general manager of Florida.
•Philadelphia-based Surfside has struck a deal to become an Official Hard Tea & Hard Lemonade Partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Under the accord, Surfside will have a branded concession stand on the field level at Dodger Stadium, as well as sales points in various locations around the ballpark. The brand will be spotlighted via a permanent sign on the outfield wall, a strategic presence on various concourses, and an activation footprint in Centerfield Plaza for several regular-season games. Surfside soared to 4.7 million 9-liter case equivalents last year, up from 1.2 million in 2023. The 4.5% abv brand retails at $10 a four-pack and $20 a variety eight-pack.
