Booker’s first batch, Michter’s 10 Year Old, the latest Blood Oath, and newcomers from Buzzard’s Roost and New Riff are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s latest weekly roundup. The website has all the details.

•D’Ussé Cognac, part of the Bacardi portfolio, is extending its offering with a new 1.75-liter bottle for its VSOP expression. The new bottle will be available nationwide at retail and online via ReserveBar for an SRP of $102. D’Ussé VSOP is aged for a minimum of four and a half years in French oak barrels at the Château de Cognac. D’Ussé’s U.S. volume has been approximately 640,000 cases in recent years.

•Southern Glazer’s has appointed Derek Teter as SVP and general manager of Arkansas and Tennessee. Reporting to Matt Metz, president, Central Region, Teter is a 23-year company veteran. Additionally, Brian Sears has been promoted to VP, general manager, Tennessee, reporting to Teter. He previously served as VP, sales, Colorado off-premise. And Joe Burns has been named VP, general manager, Kansas & Iowa, reporting to Jim Mullen, SVP, general manager, Nebraska, Kansas, & Iowa. Burns first joined Glazer’s in 2006.

•Canned wine brand Archer Roose has appointed Brendan Kost as chief sales officer. In his new role, Kost will shape the brand’s overall sales strategy, expand its sales team nationwide, and continue to grow placements in on- and off-premise accounts, according to the company. Kost is a 15-year industry veteran, spending time with Union Beer Distributors as well as Southern Tier Brewing. He also led hard kombucha pioneer Kombrewcha from its early days through to its acquisition by Anheuser-Busch InBev. Archer Roose, in which Constellation holds a minority stake, saw a big year in 2024, with volume rising to above 100,000 9-liter case equivalents, driven by an expanding presence in the on-premise.
