•California’s Castle Rock Winery has struck a new distribution deal with Breakthru Beverage Group covering the winery’s home state. Under the deal Breakthru began handling Castle Rock across California effective May 1. Known for Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Rosé of Pinot Noir, Castle Rock says the “strategic move marks a significant milestone for Castle Rock Winery as it continues to expand its footprint in its home state.”

•Boston-based Latitude Beverage is extending its 90+ Cellars brand with an organic Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. 90+ Cellars Lot 232 is sourced from an unnamed family-owned winery and is 100% estate fruit from the base of the Mayacamas Mountains. Aged for 12 months in neutral French oak barrels, it retails at $35 a bottle. The new entry is part of 90+ Cellars’ limited-edition Collector Series.

Fettercairn single malt Scotch whisky is debuting in the U.S. market. Owned by Whyte & Mackay, the luxury brand from the Highlands distillery has a range including Fettercairn 24-Year-Old ($650), 28-Year-Old ($1,250), 40-Year-Old ($6,000), 46-Year-Old ($19,000), and 50-Year-Old ($37,000). The allocated offerings are launching at select luxury retail and high-end dining venues in key markets including CA, FL, NJ, NY, and TX. The 24- and 28-year-old whiskies are imported by Gallo, while the 40-, 46-, and 50-year-old offerings are imported by Park Street.

•Blended Scotch brand Cutty Sark has entered the RTD segment with the Cutty Sark & Ginger Ale Highball. The 5% abv cocktail comes in 4-packs of 250-ml. cans that are now available in select retailers across the U.S. for a suggested price of $10. The new release is supported with out-of-home ads including truck wraps and in-store advertising, as well as a sampling campaign focused on whisky shows. Cutty Sark is owned by La Martiniquaise-Bardinet.
