California Moves Continue As Bogle, WX, Cape Classics Name Distributors

July 15, 2025

California’s Bogle Family Wine Collection is moving to the Southern Glazer’s portfolio in its home market effective September 1, as the reverberations from RNDC’s Golden State exit continue. The new deal will see Southern handle the entire Bogle range, including the Juggernaut brand, which Southern Glazer’s also manages in Kansas, Missouri, and Tennessee.

Known for its namesake brand as well as newer offerings like Elemental ($17), a line of wines packaged in lightweight aluminum bottles, Bogle has U.S. volume of approximately 2.7 million cases annually, according to Impact Databank. The winery also recently named Columbia Distributing as its partner for Washington and Oregon.

In another California move, WX Brands has named Regal Wine Company as its new distributor. The appointment gives Regal distribution rights to one of the leading brands priced above $15 in the U.S., WX’s Bread & Butter. Overall, the brand was up 12% last year to 1.7 million cases nationally, according to Impact Databank. In addition, Regal will also handle brands like Trapiche, True Myth, Here By Chance, and Baileyana Winery, among others. The distribution transition is slated to be complete by August 1.

Meanwhile, importer Cape Classics has aligned with Winebow for distribution in California. Earlier this year, Cape Classics also moved to Winebow in the District of Columbia, Florida, and Maryland, with the two companies now linked across 13 markets.
