Provi, RNDC Form Partnership, Ending Their Dispute

July 28, 2025

E-commerce platform Provi has reached an agreement with Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), allowing retailers to order from the RNDC portfolio through Provi’s B2B marketplace. While the logistics of the partnership are still being developed, it will apply nationally and is described as “a mutually satisfactory resolution” to the previous dispute between the two companies.

The new deal will not disrupt the distributor’s existing eRNDC platform—whose sales were projected at $1 billion last year—but instead will add Provi as an additional e-commerce option for retailers, allowing for multiple online methods of placing orders directly with RNDC.

“This agreement reflects our continued focus on smart, practical innovation that enhances how we serve the industry,” said RNDC president and CEO Bob Hendrickson. “By partnering with Provi, we will give customers more flexibility in how they work with us, while maintaining the reliability and consistency they expect from RNDC.”

The new integration is expected to launch later this year. “Provi and RNDC are committed to improving the beverage alcohol space while supporting the evolving needs of retailers and their distributor partners—within the framework of the three-tier system,” said Taylor Katzman, founder and CEO of Provi. “This strategic relationship brings us closer to building a more efficient and connected industry.”

The partnership comes following Provi’s 2022 anti-trust lawsuit filed against both RNDC and Southern Glazer’s, alleging that the distributors illegally blocked Provi’s attempts to build a third-party e-commerce platform. In May 2024, Provi notched a victory when the distributors’ petition to dismiss the suit was denied.—Shane English
