- Napa Valley’s PlumpJack Collection of Wineries has named Breakthru Beverage Group as the company’s new California distributor, following the closure of RNDC California. The move will also see PlumpJack stepping away from Grapevine Wine Brokers, its previous distributor for Southern California. The partnership expands on the existing relationship between Breakthru and PlumpJack, with the distributor already handling PlumpJack’s wines in Arizona. The wine company’s portfolio includes a Napa wineries like PlumpJack in Oakville, Cade Estate on Howell Mountain, and Odette Estate in the Stags Leap District, plus Adaptation, Napa Valley.
- Foley Family Wines & Spirits has appointed Jay Gifford to the newly created role of managing director, international. Griffin will be based in Canterbury in the United Kingdom and will take charge of sales for all of Foley’s international markets. He joins the company from WX Brands/Grupo Peñaflor, where he most recently served as head of U.K. and Nordics. Additionally, he has experience with Accolade Wines (Vinarchy), InterContinental Brands, Constellation Brands, and Molson Coors. The Foley Family portfolio includes Chalk Hill Estate Winery, Sebastiani, Roth, Banshee, and Ferrari-Carano, among many others.
