August 12, 2025•Minneapolis-based HighBridge Premium, a producer of hemp THC drinks, has expanded into New Jersey, partnering with Opici Family Distributing. The move marks the first time HighBridge Premium will be available on the East Coast and will cover HighBridge’s non-alcoholic THC ‘beers,’ Re-Frsh botanical seltzers, and Majical Ice TeaZ, with the last brand produced in collaboration with Jim Belushi and his Belushi’s Farm cannabis brand. HighBridge’s Faux Beers and Magical Ice Teaz come in 10, 8, and 5mg doses, and the brand’s seltzers are at 5mg.
•California authorities have seized nearly $500 million worth of illicit cannabis so far this year, according to new information from the state. Over the course of 111 operations, state authorities have taken 270,000 pounds of cannabis and destroyed more than 260,000 plants. As part of the crackdown on black-market cannabis, the state has arrested 112 people, recovered 52 guns, and seized more than $230,000 in cash. Since beginning its crackdown on the black market in 2019, California has conducted more than 1,200 operations, recovered “1.6 million pounds of product,” and destroyed “nearly 2.7 million plants,” which the state estimates as $2.8 billion worth of cannabis.
•The first weekend of adult-use sales in Delaware brought in over $900,000 across 14 locations over three days. For the newly active adult-use market, sales were at $625,000, with medical sales totaling $278,000. According to a release from the state, flower sales totaled roughly $509,000, making up 56% of all sales. Vapes, at $233,000 or 26%, were in second, with edibles at $124,000 (14%). Total adult-use sales generated nearly $100,000 in tax revenue.
