Patrón Unveils New Bottle Design

August 21, 2025

Bacardi-owned Patrón Tequila has revamped its packaging for the first time since launching in 1989. The new look is inspired by the agave piña and includes an embossed glass pattern, enhanced front label, and neck collar.

It also plays up the brand’s focus on its additive-free recipe, with the side of each bottle showing the phrase “Handcrafted with Agave, Water and Time.” Patrón is also reducing the average weight of bottles across all formats by 8%, contributing to an overall reduction in carbon footprint.

“Each detail of this new bottle and packaging has been crafted to help visually define Patrón and set our Tequila apart on the shelf, the way our liquid does inside the bottle,” said Roberto Ramirez, global senior VP for Patrón and Agaves at Bacardi. Patrón is ranked third in the U.S. Tequila category at 2.3 million cases according to Impact Databank.—Daniel Marsteller
