Crown Royal Debuts New Chocolate Flavor

Diageo is extending Crown Royal’s flavor portfolio with a limited-edition chocolate expression. Retailing at $27 a bottle, the newcomer is at 35% abv and is rolling out nationally on September 1. Crown Royal Chocolate Flavored Whisky is the latest entry in a flavor portfolio that also includes Apple, Peach, Blackberry, Vanilla, and Salted Caramel offerings. In its first year on the market last year, the Blackberry expression jumped out to 610,000 9-liter case depletions in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.—Daniel Marsteller
