•Texas-based Waterloo gin, owned by Patrón founder John Paul DeJoria, is introducing a Prickly Pear & Rose expression. Retailing at $35 a 750-ml., the newcomer blends hibiscus, rose, and prickly pear with Waterloo’s nine-botanical recipe and limestone-filtered water. It’s rolling out widely, joining a brand portfolio that already includes Waterloo No. 9 and Waterloo Barrel-Aged gins. Waterloo is targeting 20 states of distribution by year-end, with a full national footprint expected by the end of next year. DeJoria acquired Waterloo from Treaty Oak Distilling last year and relaunched the brand with new packaging in April.

AXA Millesimes is debuting its first wines from the West Sonoma Coast’s Platt Vineyard, which the Bordeaux-based company acquired in 2022. The Platt Vineyard Estate brand is kicking off with Chardonnay, Reserve Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Reserve Pinot Noir bottlings, all under the West Sonoma Coast appellation. The wines were made by vineyard manager and winemaker Derek Flegal, working closely with Thomas Rivers Brown. AXA Millesimes managing director Christian Seely said the inaugural 2023 vintage was excellent for “both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, even though yields were rather low, giving small volumes of remarkable wines,” adding that the new bottlings are launching “via quality distribution outlets in markets across the world.”

•The Tequila Rosaluz brand is launching in the U.S., imported by Mack Brands. Rosaluz includes five different expressions: Blanco ($30), Reposado ($35), Anejo ($40), Cristalino ($45), and Rosado ($80). Made by maestra tequilera Mariana Muñoz Gutiérreza from agaves grown in the Jalisco highlands by the Vazquez family, Rosaluz is initially debuting in the Northeast and online. New York-based Mack Brands’ portfolio also includes Conte Camillo Negroni and Finvara Irish Whiskey.
