October 6, 2025•M.S. Walker Brands is introducing Pelotón de la Muerte Tequila, which joins the brand’s mezcal in the portfolio. Pelotón de la Muerte Tequila is made at Tequileria Raygoza in Jalisco and retails at $40 a 750-ml. and $45 a 1-liter bottle. The brand’s Mezcal Artesanal from Oaxaca is at the same price point. With the launch of the Tequila, Pelotón de la Muerte’s offerings have received a new look, including a fresh logo and label that includes “The Doliente Hidalgo” flag that flew over insurgent forces during the Mexican revolution. Both offerings are distributed nationally.
•Foley Family Wines & Spirits has appointed BJ Vorderer as chief sales officer. A 25-year industry veteran, Vorderer will lead Foley’s global wholesale sales strategy and distributor relationships. Vorderer was most recently EVP and managing director in the American Liberty Division of the Pernod Ricard portfolio for Southern Glazer’s, managing Pernod’s priority wine and spirits portfolio. Additionally, Samantha Burris has been named vice president, national sales manager of Foley’s Horizon division. She joins the company from Sovereign Brands.
