•Kentucky’s Castle & Key has aligned with Skurnik Wines & Spirits for distribution throughout California. The two companies are already partnered in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. The Castle & Key range of spirits includes Small Batch Bourbon (now with a 6-year age statement), Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey, Wheated Small Batch Bourbon, Roots of Ruin Gin, and Restoration Rye Whiskey. The company’s brands are distributed across 24 states. “California has long been a priority for us, and partnering with Skurnik Wines & Spirits allows us to bring our spirits to a wider audience in one of the country’s most dynamic markets,” said Castle & Key co-founder Will Arvin.

•Iowa-based Templeton Distillery has unveiled Templeton 13-Year-Old Rye Whiskey, the first release from its Hidden Stash collection. Made from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, the 13-Year-Old expression is matured in new American oak barrels with a heavy char and bottled at 108 proof. It is now available at select retailers and online, priced at $170 a bottle. Templeton is part of the Infinium Spirits portfolio.
