Riboli Family Intros Lena By Maddalena Premium Boxed Wine

California’s Riboli Family Wines is introducing a new premium 1.5-liter boxed wine brand, Lena by Maddalena. Debuting with Chardonnay (Monterey), Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Robles), and Pinot Noir (Monterey) offerings, Lena retails at $25 a box.

Rolling out now to select retailers, Riboli notes that the new label’s 1.5-liter box format “uses significantly less packaging than two standard glass bottles, reducing weight and waste while maintaining premium quality.” Maddalena is one of the California estate brands grouped under Riboli’s fine wine division.

Riboli is best known for its 4-million-case Stella Rosa brand, which is the second-largest table wine brand above $10 in the U.S. in retail value terms at approximately $650 million.—Daniel Marsteller
