•Durango, Colorado-based Ska Brewing has unveiled the first entry in its Seasonal Stout program, Autumnal Molé Stout. Rolling out September 22, Autumnal Molé Stout is brewed with cocoa nibs, spices and three types of chile peppers, including Mulato, Ancho and Hatch green chiles. The Southwestern-inspired beer is packaged in a black 12-ounce can, which features comic book-like imagery of the Mayan snake-god Kukulkan. Three new canned seasonal stouts will join Autumnal Molé Stout in the series, with the first launching in December of this year, the second in March 2013 and the last in June. Founded in 1995, Ska Brewing produces more than a dozen craft beers, including its flagship Pinstripe Red Ale. The brewery’s offerings are currently distributed throughout Colorado, Arizona, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina and Texas.

•San Luis Spirits, a craft distillery based in Drippings Springs, Texas, has introduced a new vodka brand—1876—into the Texas market. The vodka is currently available at select retail stores throughout the state priced at around $13.99 a bottle. A family-owned and operated distillery, San Luis also produces the super-premium Dripping Springs Vodka brand, as well as its flavored offshoot, Drippings Springs Orange.
