Accolade CEO Departs Suddenly, As Company Begins Search For Replacement
November 30, 2012Accolade Wines CEO Troy Christensen, who led the Australia-based wine marketer since its inception nearly two years ago, has left the company. Accolade, Australia’s biggest wine producer, offered no explanation for Christensen’s departure, saying only that it was a mutual decision.
Accolade was formed in February 2011, when Constellation Brands sold an 80% stake in its Australian and European wine business to Australian firm Champ Private Equity (Constellation retained a 20% interest in the unit). Christensen, who had led that business for Constellation since 2007, was kept on to head Accolade. The company has tapped recruitment firm Korn/Ferry International to run a search for a new chief executive, during which time Accolade will be run by its executive leadership team.
