•Paso Robles-based Rotta Winery has been acquired by an investor group for an undisclosed sum. The group, which will operate under the name Rotta Winery LLC, is led by former Moet Hennessy market director Jason Shorrock, the winery’s founding Giubbini family and a private investor. Founded in 1908, Rotta Winery claims to be one of the oldest continuously-operating wineries in the Paso Robles AVA. Its 20-acre vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Zinfandel.

•Purity vodka has entered the New Jersey market through a partnership with Allied Beverage Group. It is available now in bars and retail stores statewide. With the addition of the New Jersey market, Purity is now available in 12 states across the country. Produced at Ellinge Castle in southern Sweden, Purity was initially rolled out to the U.S. market in 2009 and launched a new bottle design last fall. The vodka is priced at $39.99 a 750-ml.
