•Athens, Georgia-based Terrapin Beer Company, minority-owned by MillerCoors, is releasing a trio of new craft offerings throughout its distribution network. Beginning in August, Terrapin’s new Box Set variety 12-pack will feature 12-ounce bottles of three year-round selections—Hopsecutioner, Rye and Liquid Bliss—as well as 7.5%-abv Capt’n Krunkles Black IPA. Meanwhile, Terrapin is launching Rye Cubed Triple Rye IPA as a new summer seasonal, a 10.7%-abv brew that comes in four-packs of 12-ounce bottles and is billed as an extension to its earlier Rye Squared and Rye offerings. Lastly, Terrapin is adding Guano Loco Chili Pepper Brownie Ale, at 8.6%-abv and featuring Super Galena and US Goldings hops, to its Side Project series. Guano Loco is packaged in 22-ounce bottles.

•Baltimore’s Heavy Seas Beer has introduced the latest entry in its Uncharted Waters series—Plank III. A limited edition summer release, Plank III is a Belgian-style Tripel aged on Jamaican Allspice wood. The 8.5%-abv offering will be available through August across Heavy Seas’ 18-state footprint. Plank III marks the third offering from Heavy Seas’ Plank beer aging project, following the launch of Plank I, an English Ale aged on kilned Poplar, in 2011 and Plank II, a German-style Doppelbock aged on Poplar and Eucalyptus, in 2012.

•Providence, Rhode Island’s Narragansett Beer has debuted Town Beach Imperial IPA, the fifth installment in its Private Stock series of 22-ounce limited edition offerings. The summer brew features pale and German Pilsner malts with Nugget, Chinook, Northern Brewer and Hallertau hops as a nod to the six German-American founders of the brewery in 1890. The 8.1%-abv IPA carries a label that’s reminiscent of the early 20th century packaging on Narragansett beers. The Private Stock series launched in December 2012 and has included Imperial Russian Stout, Imperial Black Steam, Imperial IPA and Imperial Bohemian Pilsner. Town Beach Imperial IPA retails for $5.99 a 22-ounce bottle and is available throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
