Terlato Expands Italian Offering With Castello di Bolgheri

Terlato Wine Group is adding Tuscany’s Castello di Bolgheri to its import portfolio through a new national sales and marketing agreement. Effective in July, Terlato will begin importing Castello di Bolgheri’s Bolgheri Superiore DOC ($180), Varvàra Bolgheri Rosso DOC ($65), and Flocco Toscana IGT ($45).

The Castello di Bolgheri estate has been continuously overseen by the della Gherardesca family, which has been present in the area since before 1200 AD, and has been passed down generation to generation. It’s now helmed by the 30th generation, as della Gherardesca descendant Federico Zileri Dal Verme has led the winery since the mid-1990s.—Daniel Marsteller
