Total Wine Will Add Growler Stations To 20 Stores By Year-End
March 13, 2013Total Wine & More is now among the growing number of beer retailers offering growlers to go. “We endeavor to feature growler stations in all markets where allowed by law,” remarks Rob Hill, new programs manager, customer experience, at the liquor store chain that boasts more than 85 stores in 14 states.
By year-end, Total Wine expects to have growler stations—pouring between 12 and 24 draft beers in one-liter and 64-ounce containers—in operation at about 20 locations. “This program is very popular with our customers, even drawing in some customers who don’t normally buy beer,” Hill says. “It also allows us to offer many draft-only craft beers that we otherwise would not be able to feature.”
